High School Football Speed Cord Drills
This lateral high knee drill is a great drill for you to complete by yourself. All you will need is a Reactive Stretch Cord, a fence, and small obstacles. In this video you will see the athlete is utilizing hurdles.
To Begin Set Your Distances
First, clip your Reactive Stretch Cord to the anchor strap that is wrapped around a fence post. Do not attach the anchor strap in the chain link fence portion. Wrap the anchor strap around a fence post so that when you stretch the stretch cord you have a good anchored position.
Now that you have your anchor setup, walk off the distance of 20 feet. You will then set up your starting position. Utilize 4 to 6 hurdles spacing them out 2 to 3 feet in the direction that you came from. Now you’re ready to train.
Stay Quick Stay Balanced
Now clip on the Reactive Stretch Cord to your 360 D-ring and begin training. Complete 3 to 4 down and backs before taking a break. If you’re more advanced, you can do upwards of 6 to 7 sets. If you’re a beginner, take it slow and learn the footwork before you get moving too quickly.
