A new arm swing study came out that was pretty well done. They controlled for a lot of factors, but the interpretation seemed to be more consistent with a non-athletic approach. The variation in speed difference they said was just under 2% within 30 meters. Their conclusion was the arm swing was not near as much of a factor as most would consider. However, when it comes to sports performance, I feel like this is a huge difference. To be an elite level athlete, you only need a step. What do you think?
