Is the Apple Watch hurting your progress? I have worked with hundreds of clients that utilize fitness trackers and I see this problem all the time. Fitness trackers are inflating the amount of calories burned during exercise. If you truly track your calories and exercise calories, you will quickly realized after months of recording data that these numbers never play out. Your exercise calories are inflated. Weight loss requires an understanding of a negative caloric intake or energy expenditure.
If you're counting too many calories for exercise and eating into these exercise calories, it will prevent you from losing weight. I see this problem all the time. My suggestion is to utilize the Apple Watch fitness tracking device as an activity tracker only. Use it to monitor your normal movement and then you will know how much activity to add to get the results you're looking for. Leave the fitness workout app off.
