Running hills seems to be all the rage in social media posts working out. The problem is a lot of young athletes have no business running on the hill. There are many creative speed and agility drills that you can complete that will enhance a young athlete's speed. It is essential that young athletes train for speed rather than just general conditioning during these short workouts. I'm not suggesting that you can never utilize a hill. Be creative training young athletes and help them have drive to be the best. Use timers, relays, and let the athlete know how many reps they are going to complete to get their maximal effort.
