I have been training with the Apple Watch for many years. I have worked with hundreds of clients who also tracked their fitness and calorie intake. After several years of testing how much body fat or composition change an individual can achieve I have come to my conclusion.
The Apple Watch is a great tool for tracking heart rate and distances moved. It could be fun to utilize during swimming events, but can have some very negative affects I'm trying to change body composition. The workout app, like many other fitness trackers, inflate numbers dramatically. Workout calories are far higher than what your body will actually achieve.
